Jedi Momma and the barefoot boy had their baby tonight! I can’t wait to go and meet Littlebit, and hold her, and smell that new baby smell. I gave permission for her to be born anytime after this past Sunday, as that’s when I finished the baby blanket I made for her.
Being a first-time mother I expect Jedi Momma to not be generous about giving anyone else lots of snuggle time, at least for the first few weeks. Not nearly enough for me, anyway. I so long for a grandbaby, but speaking rationally that would be disastrous! First of all, ninjakitty has a real future to look forward to and babies should be a long ways down the road yet. And firstborn—well, let’s just say that I wouldn’t wish him on any reasonable woman right now, and I’d be in horror of any woman who would take up with him. But I do find myself studying the young women I see at the grocery store, etc., musing on whether or not they’d make a suitable mother for my grandchildren.
